PROJECT APPROACH

1.0 INTRODUCTION & EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

D’Huy Engineering (DEI) understands that Montgomery County IU 23 has plans for four projects; a metal fence at its Norristown Building, an HVAC renovation for its Anderson School, retro-commissioning and balancing for the Norristown HVAC system and renovations for classrooms inside a building to be named later. The MCIU is seeking the services of a construction manager to serve as the MCIU’s agent during design, bidding, construction, and close-out phases. DEI has read the MCIU’s RFP and is prepared to perform all of the services listed with its senior staff. We specialize in public school work just like this.

The DEI team will support, challenge, and work with the architectural and engineering teams to provide the most creative solutions, the best results, and deliver a quality facility. DEI has an impressive track record of work in partnership with Owners, architects, consultants, and contractors to achieve results and deliver projects on time and on budget. Our ability to work as a team member has resulted in much success for other school districts and extends across multiple projects.

DEI has managed numerous projects in the last 10 years including:

• The renovation of the Lafayette St MCIU Building in 2014 • The renovation of Upper Moreland’s Middle School • HVAC replacements in all of Hatboro-Horsham’s schools

• The construction of the new Colonial Middle School • The construction of the new Lower Moreland High School • MEP renovations for the Wissahickon School District • Renovations and new construction for the Upper Dublin School District

DEI’s project/construction management services provide a client driven approach that ensures and implements the best solution possible for every project. The entire Project Management process is based on teamwork and keeping the client informed and in control at all times. DEI’s project/construction management approach is supported by skilled staff including Licensed Professional Engineers, Licensed Architects, Certified Energy Managers, LEED AP, Certified Professional Estimators, Value Engineering Specialists, and experienced construction professionals.
