Northampton Area School District – Stadium, Turf & Track
D’Huy Engineering, Inc. has been partnering with Northampton Area School District (NASD) for more than 16 years. In 2016, we completed the new Northampton Middle School. DEI served as the Construction Manager for this $56M middle school project, including supervising the details of how a three story building will fit into a tight campus hillside and wrap around the existing Northampton Stadium. Through extensive phasing and project management, DEI led NASD through the process of upgrading the stadium to accommodate a new synthetic turf surface, track and stadium lighting. DEI continued to consult with the architect and developed a second synthetic turf multi-sport field for the District. As the District continues to improve its facilities, we are proud to work closely with them to provide campus master planning and retainer services. Our most recent project with NASD was a new 86,970 square foot Lehigh Elementary School, completed Summer 2021.

DEI’s services helped provide a new lighted synthetic turf field for students to play soccer, rugby and intramural sports. The field is surrounded by a low fence and walking track, and is served by 365 seat bleachers built into an existing bank located off a main walkway through campus. The new facility, besides hosting school events, has become a focal point and gathering place for the campus community.
