Reading School District Construction Manager Services Request for Qualifications January 4, 2022

Kimberly LaBrake, AIA, NCARB; Registered Architect: Constructability and Code Review Mrs. LaBrake is a registered professional architect with more than 30 years of experience in architecture, specifications, and construction administration. Kim will provide constructability reviews to achieve well-coordinated construction documents, identify and eliminate potential change orders prior to bidding and uncover more efficient ways to complete construction goals. Kim has served as project manager for countless school district projects during her career from the initial project inception through onsite construction and project turnover to the Owner. Mike Hartney : Construction Representative With nearly 20 years of experience in institutional, industrial, commercial, and electrical project management, Mr. Hartney is a technical specialist with comprehensive understanding of building construction, and mechanical and electrical systems. He has extensive knowledge in power distribution, sound and intercom systems, low-voltage lighting, stage lighting, fire alarm, security system, building automation, tele/data and control systems. He also has the ability to provide immediate field support and MEP coordination. Most importantly, Mike knows how to run the construction site and be the District’s liaison between the contractors, design team, code officials and school administrators. Mike will always do the worrying so the District does not have to. Chris W. Haller, MBA: Senior Project Manager Mr. Haller, a Reading alumni, brings over 30 years of experience in design and management of facilities and construction. He is a certified code official who is responsible to protect the public health, safety, and welfare in relationship to the building environment through effective code enforcement . Chris’s excellent organizational skills, capabilities and efficiency make him ideally suited to provide this role and help lead constructability reviews. Kristen Spadafora, CDT: Construction Documents Specialist With more than 15 years of experience, Ms. Spadafora offers exceptional organization of the volumes of documentation that accompany design and construction projects, especially those with public funding requirements. She has assembled numerous successful grant funding applications and been responsible for assembling and submitting compliance documentation. Kristen is meticulous in capturing and reporting project information, driving bidding processes and relentlessly tracks progress. B. Ethan Fick, PE, LEED-AP: Mechanical Engineering Specialist/Constructability Review Mr. Fick is a licensed professional Engineer, consummate project manager and MEP specialist, he has over 20 years of experience in design, construction administration and troubleshooting of HVAC and mechanical electrical systems. He is a technical specialist providing immediate field support with comprehensive understanding of the engineering design concept. His experience also includes performing design reviews, design concepts and project specifications, value engineering, field inspections, energy auditing, energy modeling, and system commissioning.
