Interboro High School
The same thinking that helps to create a safe and productive interior learning environment is also applied to the school site. A new loop road around the rear of the building helps to increase safety by providing additional entry and exit ways from the property; it also provides complete and close access to the building for First responders in the event of an incident. The general circulation improvements provide distinct separations for parent drop offs, buses and student drivers with discreet entry and access for each group. Stormwater conveyance is enhanced and updated to meet current environmental standards while grass fields and green spaces are preserved to provide areas for athletics and physical education. Finally, control of pedestrian access around and within the property is thoughtfully directed with fencing and pathways to secure entrances and established road crossings which increases safety on the sometimes busy roadways surrounding the existing site.
