I NTRODUCTION AND E XECUTIVE S UMMARY D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) was established in 1976 as a structural design and forensic engineering firm, committed to the highest levels of excellence, integrity, communication, and documentation. In 1989, DEI expanded its “Tradition of Excellence” into Facilities Engineering and Project/Construction Management. In 2022, DEI began its 34 th year of Project/Construction Management and has earned a rock-solid reputation for providing successful leadership on public projects in Pennsylvania. 80% of DEI’s business is dedicated to performing public projects in Pennsylvania. Our firm is also a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), allowing us to assist with diversity programs and grants.
DEI is a multi-disciplined firm with a strong community presence. Our broad range of engineering capability will afford the YMCA the added benefit of having engineers skilled in many diverse backgrounds to provide additional support as needed. It is the integration of all the professional expertise that supports our success in Project/Construction Management Services and Engineer of Record for many public, private, and non-profit clients. Our Project Management, coupled with Facilities Engineering experience, provides each client with a single-source project delivery that includes planning, pre-design, design, and construction phase services. Our firm’s extensive experience, sound engineering judgment, emphasis on quality, innovation, knowledge of construction techniques, and concern for optimizing expenditures, results in unparalleled professional representation for all Owner needs. Our repeat clients have come to trust and utilize our Construction Management Services to assemble a clear project vision, add value, and reduce costs. In the past three years, DEI has successfully managed over $600 million in projects with more than 80% of our business dedicated to performing project/construction management services for Pennsylvania non- profit service providers.
